GINGERBREAD 4 oz Butter 4 T Brown sugar 5-7 T Golden syrup (or honey) 3/4 C Milk 1 Egg (beaten) 2 C Plain flour 3-4 t Ground ginger 1 t Cinnamon 1 t Bicarb/Baking soda Melt butter, syrup and sugar together - let cool. Mix beaten egg quickly with syrup mixture. Sieve together dry ingredients then mix alternately combined dry ingredients and milk with syrup mixture - ending with flour.
